It’s not too early to start thinking about the amazing creation you’ll make for Small Packages 2027!

You may have already heard that the next Small Packages Auction is scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2027.

Get a jump on creating something incredible! Start dreaming up your next masterpiece, find yourself a cigar box, and get building. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!

And while you’re marking your calendars, make a note: Ferndale Pride has moved to August 7th this year.

More details to come, but for now—start thinking outside (and inside) the box!

Friends, we did it.

Our 2026 goal was to reach at least $10,000 in donations, and we got there. The auction brought in just over $9,500, and with more than $500 in direct donations, we crossed that finish line together.

Thank you to all of our Boxsmiths, everyone who placed a bid, and the businesses that donated their time and resources. Your support continues to amaze me. Truly.

This event is really starting to get noticed. This year we had 67 boxes in the auction, up from 50 last year. We had more people reaching out to participate, more folks sharing the event, and more eyes on what we’re building. It’s wild to see this little party grow the way it has.

We’re going to keep that momentum going. With your help, Small Packages 2027 will be just as special.

Mark your calendars now. We’re already set for the first Saturday in May, May 1. If you’re feeling creative, now’s the time to start thinking about your next piece. Let’s do it again.

Small Packages 2026 is finally here and we’re ready to open the doors. Come experience the work in person, feel the energy, and be part of something really special.

Inspired by the label “Magnum” on the back of the box, Jesse Green created this striking wire sculpture using a continuous line, carefully bent to reveal the contours of the male form. The exterior is simple yet refined, with elegant curves that feel both deliberate and effortless.

Opening the box reveals a second sculpture inside, more detailed and expressive, introducing a deeper sense of intimacy and connection that builds on the quiet restraint of the outer piece. You will need to visit the auction site to see the interior. 😜
