The 60th Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival, to be held on May 1, 2, 3, 2026 in downtown Fernandina Beach, Florida, will feature an array of activities for the entire family! The free-admission Shrimp Festival offers boatloads of fresh seafood and shrimp dishes, all prepared by local nonprofit and civic organizations. The Festival’s Fine Arts and Crafts show offers more than 300 award-winning art

ists and craftspeople, including jewelry, photography, pottery and much more. Browse through 75 booths of Antiques and Collectibles. Let the kids have their own good time in the Kids Fun Zone. Live Music on two stages, contests, and Pirates to entertain you. Bask in the breeze coming off the Amelia River as you watch the decorated Shrimp Boats glide by. Located in the historic downtown business district, enjoy the eclectic assortment of retail shops, pubs and restaurants. The Shrimp Festival is always held the first weekend in May. The Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival is more than a festival—it’s a beloved Fernandina Beach tradition that brings our community together, celebrates our local heritage, and welcomes thousands of visitors each year.

And it takes an amazing team of volunteers to make it happen!

Did you know the Shrimp Festival is run entirely by volunteers? A 9 member Executive Board and 19 Committee Directors. We are currently looking to fill several positions as we begin preparations for the 2027 Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival.
