Next step to our self-sufficient homesteading adventure, welcomed home two new cuties.

All in all, pretty proud of the quick turn around on a new shed and our first time making cages. I think Nate knocked it out of the park. We still have a lot to learn.

Huge thanks to waltersfarmlife and uphillfarms for our new babies.

Making progress where and when we can, as we can. The weather and the storms have made things a little challenging lately. Feeling blessed we had minimal damage from the hurricane.

Happy to see the bees stretching their wings and happy to have a break in the weather to make progress on the shed.

If everything goes well, we might be adding a new addition to the farm this week. Stay tuned! 🥰🎉

Nate came up with a brilliant idea to whip out a new shed for us using an old trailer so we can take our time repairing the honey shack.

Square buildings are much much faster than pentagon shaped ones. As you can see, the heavy rain has completely destroyed the plywood floor.

This shed will be a temporary storage place for the beekeeping equipment and eventually will be converted into a rabbit hut and maybe a new pig proof chicken coop.

Proud of his brilliant mind and how quickly he put this together between storms. 🥰

After the rain stops the flooding should be gone in about a day. So far so good, no real damage, just wet.

You can see why we call it jungle honey, our property is completely chaotic and more than we can handle most days.

Despite the chaos, it's wonderful. There's so much beauty and it's only getting better all the time. This coming year is going to be huge for us. So much change and progress coming down the pipeline.

Thanks for following along this journey with us. 🥰

Our smoked chipotle & garlic whipped honey glazed on charcoal grilled chicken.

This flavor sold out the first day. We'll definitely make more soon.

It was commonly asked, "what do you do with it?"
Besides being excellent on charcuterie with cheese and crackers, it's beautiful as a bbq glaze for meats or veggies. A beautiful mix of sweet and spicy.

I'd love to hear your ideas on how you would use it, or our smoked ghost pepper and garlic whipped honey.

Also - sending prayers and love Nate's way. Big job interview tomorrow. I'm so proud of him for everything he does. Lucky to live life with this amazing soul! ❤️

Last day at the market - thanks to all that came out and supported us. We're so grateful and appreciative! 🥰
