Auditions are next week (Tuesday / Wednesday) for our upcoming fall musical, Sleepy Hollow. Since many people are not as familiar with this show we wanted to provide a character breakdown.
🔹Ichabod Crane: An awkward, slightly goofy, and hyper-superstitious schoolmaster who arrives in town carrying all his worldly possessions; hunting for a well-to-do wife.
🔸Katrina Van Tassel: The local beauty who catches Ichabod's eye and sparks his dreams of wealth.
🔹Brom Bones: The boisterous, high spirited, and extremely jealous local boyfriend who vies for Katrina's affection and fiercely guards his territory against Ichabod.
🔸Mrs. Trenkler: Katrina's rather silly visiting aunt.
🔹Farmer Stuyvesant: A prominent, opinionated local citizen of Sleepy Hollow.
🔸Mrs. Van Tassel: Katrina's mother, a welcoming community member.
🔹Widow Van Doorn & Mrs. Van Hudson: Cautious and worried local townspeople.
🔸Hilda & Greta: Young local girls of Sleepy Hollow.
🔹Yost: Brom Bones' loyal and energetic sidekick & friend.
🔸Walter, Wilda, Johanna, & Hendrick: Ichabod's local school pupils and community youth.
🔹Woman in White: A restless ghost haunting the local lore.
🔸Indian Chief: A phantom/spirit manifestation from local history.
🔹Pirate: Another apparition appearing in the graveyard/superstitious sequences.
🔸The Headless Horseman: The legendary, terrifying specter who drives the climax of the story.
🔹Ensemble: Additional phantoms, pupils, party guests, and Sleepy Hollow citizens.

The focus and mission of Kidz Theatre Kompany is in our name- It's about the kids! With that being said, we are so proud to introduce this fantastic group of kids to you.
We present to you: KTK's First Official Youth Board.
At these meetings the kids run the show. They have established a mission statement, they have voted on positions, they set a monthly agenda and they discuss and share and listen to each other. Here they are having their second monthly meeting (we messed up and forgot to take a picture at our first! 🤪). These amazing kids are all passionate and dedicated to sharing their thoughts and ideas to help our theatre group grow and evolve. They are simply inspiring and we know they are going to do great things. ✨

As we go into our final performance of The Crucible today we have to acknowledge the people that make our show run so smoothly- our behind the scenes crew. These people have done a fabulous job taking care of set changes, prop placements, running the light and sound cues, and so much more. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being so on top of everything. We couldn't have done the show without you. 👏👏👏👏

Our final group of cast members for our upcoming show, The Crucible, are 3 phenomenal actors. These guys had the daunting task of memorizing over 800 lines between them in only 3 weeks time! All 3 men absolutely crush it in their roles. These seasoned actors take the audience on a rollercoaster of emotions with their ability to completely embody these complex characters and will leave you thinking about this show for days. INCREDIBLE WORK, GUYS!!! 👏👏👏
