I have a glass frustration to share.
I have 8 precious spots a day in my fused glass class. I've always used the 'your word is your honor' method of booking a spot.
This year, I'm faced with a rash of no shows, and people calling me with last minute reasons that they are not going to show up.
This is a big problem for my small business. I turn dozens of people away every day, and these last minute cancelations mean my kiln is not full.
So, what's a girl to do? I'm afraid next year there will have to be an upfront, non refundable deposit for a spot. Because raising glass prices to cover the no shows is hardly fair.
If you have a reservation for this year, please, cancel it today if you can't guarantee you'll be here.
I hope you can all appreciate my honesty in this very frustrating problem. Making a piece of beautiful fused glass is a privilege offered to very few in The Art Barn. Thanks for understanding!
