What an incredible surprise! I was honored to receive the 32 Winds Artist in Residence Award for my body of work at the LPAPA Invitational. Thank you judges, 32 Winds/ Mascarin Wines and LPAPA for this award. Just to be invited to this prestigious plein air festival is a highlight but to hear my name called during the awards ceremony was surreal! !

Another one for the LPAPA Invitational. Enjoyed studying this beautiful tide pool while working fast to race the incoming tide. The Collectors Gala is at the Festival of the Arts tonight and the big show is 11-4 tomorrow. Hope to see you there!

In honor of the big hurricane surf hitting the southern California coast I figured I’d post this recent wave painting. Ever since I was a little kid I’ve been enamored with trying to capture the beauty and power of the ocean in drawings and later paintings.
