It’s been two days since Jet Cities Chorus won North by Northwest Region 13’s competition and we’re still on cloud nine! What a wonderful, fun-filled, exciting weekend we had. Thanks to all our friends and family who have been sending congratulations. We love hearing from you all.
We are also very proud of our chapter quartets! Our newbies, Frequency Quartet, did a bang-up job and we see great things in their future. Yay, Jennifer, Lindsey, Connie and Kelsey! Touchstone Quartet—with Jet Cities tenor Robin Osborn plus Song of Seattle members Debra, Sydney, and Paula--had double the fun, as they not only took 2nd place in the quartet contest, but also won Most Improved! We’re so proud of them. And last but definitely not least, Meadowlark Quartet—with Jet Cities lead Sarah Robinson plus Ajoy members Katherine, Mindy and Kate—took home 1st place honors. We’re so proud of this (very!) talented foursome.
But wait! There’s more!! Jet Cities had 13 members who experienced their very first Region 13 convention and competition this year, and we’re amazed at how fast they learned new music, soaked up coaching advice, learned the choreo plan, and put together a costume. Thank you all.
We also need to acknowledge our kind, talented, goofy, skilled, and awesome director, Rachel Pack. Rachel is one very busy person. She teaches voice lessons, makes learning tracks, and directs Jet Cities and BHS’ Northwest Mix Chorus. And she has a wonderful “support staff” with husband, Mike and best friend / staunch JCC supporter, Nikki. Oh, and we can’t forget our youngest fan, Ellie, Rachel’s daughter, who always keeps us smiling.
Lastly, we want to thank all our friends, family, coaches, and supporters for having our backs and understanding what this all means to us. We love you to pieces. ❤️❤️❤️
