The Handmade paper came out a teensy bit uneven so I cut it into pieces and painted each of those differently.

I crudely drew out the sketch (I do NOT sketch well 😳) and just put it together like a puzzle. Then I did an abstract stitch in places.

I painted the thicker paper (sanded texture to flatten) as eyes making the eyes stand out.

Painted the background, mounted the face and moon. The wool (hair) was added after everything was in place!

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BIRD 🐦

Covid is when I began learning to Needle Felt!!! I started a fundraiser for 7 Hills Homeless Shelter 7hills Homeless Center and I felted a bird every day.
🦉
I called it GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BIRD. I would put the image on Facebook and have people bid on them. The highest bid at the end of the day would be the winner of the piece. I think around $2,000 was raised. These first pieces were not very detailed, I had a lot to learn but this project helped me learn so much.
