Famed sculptor Anita Huffington, whose art is in the Met in NYC, and in Crystal Bridges, on the fifth floor of Old Main. in UA Mullins Library, and on the second floor of the Blair Library here, mentioned to one day in Ozark Naturals Foods that she had broken her favorite chisel's handle. I traced her left hand on a piece of paper, and fashioned a new handle from Dogwood from my own land. Ridge lines helped stabilize her hold on the handle. Dogwood is so hard that, before metal stamping became common, Dogwood was used for machine parts. Note the yellow line of figure coming down toward the steel like a bolt of light. (Anita has moved from Winslow to Atlanta now.)
