✨️Beginner Skills Workshop✨️

May 14th and 28th I'm teaching this popular line dance called "The Downtown". There are many variations to explore with this one, but we are focusing on the basics this month.

"The Downtown" is a great move for all skaters, and all are welcome! For beginner skaters, this is a good method to learn to cross over and cross under in a slow and controlled way.
For beginner dance skaters or advanced skaters, this is so much fun to learn and is also a nice review for those who know this dance already but want a refresher.

Class is every Thursday night at Starlight Skatium from 7-8 for ages 14 and up. Hope to see you there!

This week's beginner workshop is a great option for beginner skaters, beginner dance skaters, and also for advanced skaters to hone in on footwork and balance.

Class is 7-8 every Thursday at Starlight Skatium and adult skate is right after class 8-11, offering the perfect opportunity to practice your new skills!

Front dips, back dips, spins, pro shuffle, heel/toe manuals and more are featured in this month's dance routine! You don't need to know any of these moves already to come to class and have a good time. I'll break down each step and we'll put them together with music. 😊💃🕺🎵🛼

Learning new choreo is a great way to challenge yourself to learn new skate moves that can be added to your skill set. It's not only great for physical fitness but mental fitness as well. And it's extra special to do so in a supportive group of skaters. ✨️
