Our first Yap n' Craft meeting is tonight at 6:00 at Ozark Natural Foods! Feel free to bring the project you're currently working on, or (if you can) bring a cookie sheet and spray bottle with water for our Joomchi activity. I'll provide the rest. You'll be able to buy dinner, snacks, dessert, coffee, beer and other bevs right there at ONF. This is a FREE event with supplies provided thanks to Experience Fayetteville ! See you there!

Who is welcome at Yap n' Craft?

Yap N Craft is for *everyone*, and I want to be very clear- this is a space where our LGBTQ friends, and immigrant friends are both welcome AND wanted.

Do you have to be an artist? Heck no, if you've got a creative bone in your body you are welcome here!

What about kids? This is not a club geared towards children, but it is a space for creatives of all ages. If you would like to bring your child please know that this is an adult space and there may be adult convo and they may hear some cussing.

See you at ONF at 6:00 on September 1st!

Thank you to Citiscapes Magazine for the beautiful feature in the May issue. I had such a wildly busy spring and summer that I didn't get my hands on a copy of the magazine until now.

I am so grateful that this is my actual job, and that people are interested in what I make and do. When I painted my first rinky d**k little sign in 2011, I could not have dreamed of where I would be 15 years later.

HOT NEWS 🔥Yap n' Craft will be meeting for the first time ever on September 1st from 6-8pm, at Ozark Natural Foods! Yap n' Craft is a creative social club borne out of the many conversations I've had with other women about needing a community where we can feel inspired, supported, and have some fun. It can be lonely out there for an artist, so come hang out! We'll provide the art project, you bring yourself and a friend (you can also bring the art project you're currently working on, too). Conveniently, we can grab dinner/a snack/coffee/beer/or dessert at ONF. ✨Sound off in the comments if you can make it! I'll need to know so I can order our supplies ✨

It's been quite a while since I've had a free Saturday morning, so I spent the morning in downtown Fayetteville and spied a few of my hand painted pieces within walking distance of each other!

I've had such a lovely time teaching a Contemporary Quilt Painting class at Crystal Bridges this month, this group of artists knocked it out of the park! Stay tuned for my next class with Crystal Bridges, it's going to be a dandy.

What have I been up to these last few months? I worked as the production designer for the that took place last month in North Little Rock! I hand painted signs, designed and facilitated a community painting project that became the entrance installation for the festival, created a gigantic picnic area with afghans that were thrifted, donated, and borrowed from folks all over the state. I had a team of brilliant interns who worked their butts off to paint and build stages and help set up the event. I didn't document things very well, but here are a few photos of what we worked on! I love that my job is made up of so many different things.

I'm very excited to share that I'll be teaching a 4 week contemporary barn quilt painting class in July at Crystal Bridges, in their gorgeous new studio space. If you've ever wanted to take a class with me, this is the one to book!

It's a beautiful day in downtown Fayetteville! I just finished this piece for a sweet family that wanted to add something special to their neighborhood. I love this project so much. I'd like to see this grow as a little public art movement in residential spaces. What do you think? Let me know if you'd like to see something like this in your neighborhood, too!

I had the chance to celebrate Pi Day (March, 14) by collaborating with mathematicians like Chelsea Saunders from UALR and architect Heather Davis to create a traffic calming crosswalk mural in SoMa, Little Rock. Thank you to SOMA501 and the Infinite Sums initiative for making this possible! This design shows the relationship between the radius, diameter, and circumference of a circle.
The multicolored circumference of the first circle unrolls to match the line along the bottom. the longer segments (white yellow fushia) show the length of the radius. two radiuses equals one diameter. the line is 6 radiuses or 3 diameters long, plus the last little pink bit which is 0.14, making the total circumference 3.14 (π).
