Our Story
Fire up your imagination and join us in the Chillin’ Room inside the historic Ozark Mountain Smokehouse where we bring unique theatrical experiences to life.
Smokehouse Players, LLC was formed by Terry Vaughan and Tim Gilster in 2017 after the owner of the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse, Frank Sharp, generously offered us the opportunity to produce and perform theatre in the Chillin’ Room. This one-of-a-kind performance space inside the Ozark Mountain Smokehouse offers such an exciting opportunity to create intimate theatrical experiences that we immediately began laying the groundwork for the Smokehouse Players. “In the Middle of Nowhere” by Kent R. Brown launched our new company with performances in February of 2018. Our adventure began!
Admission is FREE for all performances (donations are gratefully accepted at the door). THIS IS A SMALL VENUE WITH NO RESERVED SEATING SO PLEASE COME EARLY! Doors open at 6:30 for 7:30 curtains. Wine, beer, lemonade, and cookies are available for sale prior to each performance. All donations received at the door for the opening night performance of each new production will benefit Magdalene Serenity House.
