🎃 Halloween in the District is almost here, and Downtown Fayetteville is getting ready for a SPOOKTACULAR time!

This Saturday, October 31, we’re turning Downtown into a Halloween celebration with trick-or-treating, costume contests for kids AND adults, face painting, and music from DJ Lazyboy!

We’re also excited to welcome T-Fiber as a community partner for this year’s celebration! A huge thank you to T-Fiber for helping us bring even more Halloween fun to Downtown Fayetteville.

And let’s hear it for our Downtown businesses who are joining in on the fun! From handing out candy to welcoming all the little ghosts, goblins, and superheroes, they’re helping make this a Halloween to remember.

The traffic circle around the Market House are closed for paving. 🚧

Crews started this morning, Tuesday, Oct. 27. Today they are placing a first layer of asphalt around utilities and resurfacing about half of the roadway around the Market House. Weather permitting, paving wraps up tomorrow.

The roads around the Market House stay closed until further notice. Please follow posted detour signs and drive with care downtown. [VERIFY detour routes]

Downtown businesses remain open! Stop by, shop local and show them some love.

Thank you for your patience as we finish these improvements.

Our District Fall Festival brought the 2026 Fourth Friday series to a memorable close, with 58 vendors filling downtown with creativity, flavor, and connection. The celebration featured:

📚 10 local authors in our Book Crawl
🎭 Paperhand Puppet Project all the way from Chapel Hill, NC
🎨 2 face painters and 12 artists
🍴 15 food vendors
🤝 5 nonprofit organizations
🎶 3 performing artists
👉 and many community volunteers!

To everyone who came out, supported local talent and businesses, and enjoyed downtown with loved ones—thank you for making the celebration your own. To our volunteers, thank you for the time, care, and energy you shared to bring it all together.

🚧 Heads up, if you're heading Downtown Fayetteville!

Paving is underway around the Market House traffic circle, but Downtown Fayetteville is still OPEN for business!

Crews began work this morning, Tuesday, October 27, laying the first layer of asphalt around utilities and resurfacing approximately half of the roadway surrounding the Market House.

Weather permitting, paving is expected to wrap up tomorrow, October 28.

Here's what you need to know:

⛔ Roads around the Market House will remain closed until further notice.

👀 Please follow posted detour signs and allow a little extra travel time.

🚧 Use caution when driving through Downtown and be mindful of crews working in the area.

🛍 And don't forget, our Downtown businesses are OPEN! Our shops, restaurants, and local businesses are ready to welcome you, so don't let a little roadwork keep you from your favorite Downtown spots.

Downtown Fayetteville, what a WEEKEND!

From the Downtown Alliance's Witches Night Out and Cool Spring Downtown District’s 4th Friday District Fall Fest to the Dogwood Festival's Battle for the Main Stage and Segra Stadium's annual Pecktoberfest, Downtown was BUSY, and we loved every minute of it!

Between the costumes, live music, giant puppets, hayrides, local shopping, and plenty of familiar faces, there was no shortage of things to see and do in the District!
