Today wasn't just another setup.
This weekend, we had the honor of providing a waterslide for a Celebration of Life for someone who has become more than just a familiar face at my doctor's office—she has become a friend.
She recently lost her brother, and as someone who lost my own brother suddenly in 2020, my heart has ached for her. There are some losses that forever change you, and losing a sibling is one of them.
When I heard about the event, I knew I wanted to do something. We provided the rental at no charge, and a respected business owner in our industry generously donated toward the overhead costs. Her kindness made this possible, and what makes it even more meaningful is that she also knows this pain firsthand, having lost her own brother and building her business in his honor.
Today wasn't about business.
It was about community. It was about family. It was about showing up for someone who is hurting.
Sometimes a waterslide is more than a waterslide. Sometimes it's laughter in the middle of grief. A chance for children to play, families to gather, and memories to be shared while honoring someone deeply loved.
To my friend and her family: We are holding you close in our thoughts today. ❤️
❤️ In loving memory of a beloved brother. May his memory live on in every story shared, every laugh remembered, and every life he touched.
