Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County’s 2026–2027 Grassroots Arts Program, with fiscal sponsorship support provided by Cool Spring Downtown District, in support of The Yaya’s Cultural Heritage Performance Series.

This support will help us continue creating immersive cultural experiences that celebrate Black history, storytelling, music, performance, and community through productions like Yaya’s Juke Joint, Yaya’s House O’ Funk, Yaya’s Amateur Night, Yaya’s Sunday Blues and more.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who continues to support this vision and the artists who help bring it to life.

Get ready to step into the groove ✨

Yaya’s House O’ Funk is returning to the The Executive Studio in Raeford on May 23 for a night of live music, soul, funk, dancing, and pure 70s energy. If you loved the atmosphere of Yaya’s Juke Joint, just know this one is bringing the same heart… just with a funkier soundtrack.

Featuring live music by Eclectic Soul 🎶
Hosted by Stephanie Kegler

Good vibes. Vintage flavor. Grown folk energy.
Break out the platforms, sequins, bell bottoms, and shades and come catch a vibe with us.

Last night, Book Black Women, Inc. had the opportunity to sponsor the décor and ambiance for THE GOLDEN HOUR: a Dancing Without Sin silent dance experience through Yaya’s Luxe Productions.

This event served as a fundraiser for Dancing Without Sin’s 10th Annual Health and Fitness Cancer Awareness Event (Sept 11th- Sat Sept 12th), and we were honored to help create an atmosphere centered around joy, community, and purpose.

If you were unable to attend but would still like to support the cause, you can reach out to Dancing Without Sin at [email protected], (910) 703-7075, or https://www.dancingwithoutsin.com/event-details-registration/10th-annual-health-fitness-cancer-awareness 💛

To the women celebrating motherhood with joy, to the daughters grieving mothers they miss, to the women mothering themselves through healing, to those navigating complicated relationships, to the aunties, grandmothers, godmothers, sisters, mentors, and village women who stepped in with love…

May today hold space for celebration, remembrance, healing, and tenderness.

Happy Mother’s Day. 💙
