The Fayetteville Courthouse Music Series is now under a new nonprofit umbrella. We’re still working toward getting our 501(c)3 status, so for the time being, we are collaborating with the Greater Fayette Community Foundation for our administrative needs. If you’d like to sponsor the music series, please make out your check to Greater Fayette Community Foundation and put Fayetteville Courthouse Music Series on the memo line. You can make arrangements to get us your check in person, or you can send it to the Greater Fayette Community Foundation at P. O. Box 664; La Grange, TX 78945. The foundation is a 501(c)3, so you’ll still be making a tax-deductible donation.

A huge thank you to all who came out to last night’s reception at Hugo’s to announce the launch of Songs on the Square, a new nonprofit whose mission is to enrich rural community life through family-friendly live music performances, support for singer/songwriters, and educational opportunities that inspire creativity, connection, and the next generation of musicians.

Special thanks to Beth Hruska Chapline and Brian Chapline and George and Kathy Valtasaros for hosting this event and to Season Ammons for providing music for the evening.

We are excited about what Songs on the Square will bring to Fayetteville and surrounding communities. Stay tuned for more information soon.

After many wonderful years with Arts for Rural Texas, the Fayetteville Courthouse Music Series is beginning an exciting new chapter.

The series is no longer affiliated with Arts for Rural Texas and is now officially a program of Songs on the Square, a newly formed nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting live music, community connection, and music enrichment in rural Texas.

We are grateful for the support and memories that helped build the series into what it is today, and we look forward to continuing the tradition of bringing great music to the courthouse square.

This series has been a program of Arts for Rural Texas since 20123. As of May 2026, it is now part of a new nonprofit focusing more on music. More information on that soon. If you would like to sponsor the music series, please feel free to DM us here, and thank you for your support!

As we celebrate the successful completion of the third season of the Fayetteville Courthouse Music Series - presented by Arts for Rural Texas and featuring 27 unforgettable shows over the last three years - we are reminded that this kind of programming is only possible through strong community support. We are deeply thankful not only to the residents of Fayetteville, but also to our neighbors from across Fayette County and the surrounding communities who joined us on the square and helped make this season such a success.

Your enthusiasm, attendance, and encouragement continue to bring these evenings of live music to life, and we are incredibly proud to be part of a community that values the arts and shared experiences.

We are especially grateful to our many sponsors—including Fayette County Record, Fayetteville Propane, LG Print Co., and Mary and Evan Quiros—whose financial support makes this series possible. Their generosity, along with that of many local businesses and residents, reflects the strong community spirit that continues to bring live music to our courthouse square.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Mayor Mike Stroup and the City of Fayetteville for their ongoing care and stewardship of the historic precinct courthouse square and surrounding grounds.
