Swimming Lessons!!! Registration opens May 20!!

Many have asked about swimming lessons and we are happy to let you know that we will be offering them again this season.

We will have four different weeks of classes this season.

A class is one week, Monday through Friday at the same time each day.

The cost of a class is $40.

Registration will be online only at our website, fayetteaquaticcenter.com beginning Wednesday, May 20.

We request that you only register for one class in order that the most people possible may take a class.

The following is more information about the lessons, levels, etc.

Mission Statement:
The mission of this program is to teach a child or adult how to swim, to educate the participant on water safety, to be able to swim to safety if physically able, and to survive within the water and be aware of their surroundings.
Program Descriptions:
Youth Swim Lessons: A multi-level progressive program for school-age children, 4-12 years of age. This program starts with creating a solid foundation of aquatic skills for future development of swimming and water safety skills. The participant must successfully pass each level that the instructor has taught in order to move on to the next level. This is done on a weekly basis with a test on the last class day. (Beginner and Intermediate)
• Level 1: Water Exploration
• Level 2: Basic Water Skills (Shallow Water)
• Level 3: Swim Readiness (Deeper Water)
Cancellation of Classes:
There are a few reasons why the Fayette Aquatic Center or instructor may cancel classes:
• Insufficient Enrollment: Minimum enrollment levels must be met for courses to be held. If the Aquatic Center cancels a course due to low enrollment or loss of instructor, registered participants will be notified and offered the options of transferring to another class or receiving a full refund.
• Severe Weather: The Aquatic Center outdoor pool area will be closed each time lightning is detected within an eight-mile radius of the facility and will remain closed until 30 minutes after the last lightning strike was detected. While we cannot predict the weather, we will cancel classes in advance if possible. If severe weather occurs during class and at least half the class time has been conducted, then it will count as a single class.
• Facility Hazard: This includes but is not limited to sub- standard water quality, loss of electrical power, or other facility concern preventing the regular operation of programs.
Missed Classes:
Participants who miss a scheduled class are not permitted to attend other classes to make-up for the missed class.
Parent Presence:
A parent or guardian is not required to be at swimming lessons with their child. If they choose to stay, they must remain in the pavilion area next to the concession stand until class time is over.
Facility Access:
The facility will only be open to swimming lessons in the mornings from 8:00 A.M. to 9:55 A.M. on scheduled class days.
A class will be five consecutive days, at the times listed below. Classes will be offered the following weeks:
June 8 - 12
June 15 - 19
July 13 - 17
July 20 - 24
Class times will be: 8:00 – 8:35 a.m. (Class 1)
8:40 – 9:15 a.m. (Class 2)
9:20 – 9:55 a.m. (Class 3)
The fee for a class is $40.

A reminder that we will begin taking reservations for private parties on April 1!

Here's how it works: Our office opens at 8 a.m. and we will first serve those who are here in person.

You may also call 205-932-2196, leave a message, and we will return messages in the order they were received after those in-person have been served. Messages left before 8 a.m. will go to the end of the list.

Online reservations will go live at 9 a.m. at our website, fayetteaquaticcenter.com .

We are scheduled to be open every day, including holidays, from May 23 - August 9. There are two private party slots each day - 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. or 7:45 - 9:45 p.m.

A two-hour party Monday - Thursday is $450. A two-hour party Friday - Sunday is $600. If both slots are available, a four-hour party may be booked for $900 Monday - Thursday, or $1200 for Friday - Sunday. A four-hour party will be from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m.

Full payment is required at the time of reservation.

Private parties give you full access to our facility for up to 300 people, with a full staff of lifeguards on duty. You may bring in food and drink for private parties, as our concession stand will be closed.

It's almost time to start booking Private Parties for the 2026 season!

We will begin taking reservations on April 1 at 8 a.m. for those who come to our office. Once those who are here in person are served, we will begin returning phone messages in the order they were received. Messages left before 8 a.m. will go to the end of the list.

Online reservations will open at 9 a.m. on April 1 at our website, fayetteaquaticcenter.com .

Each day we're open (May 23 - August 9) there are two private party slots in the evenings; 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. and 7:45 - 9:45 p.m.

A two-hour party Monday - Thursday is $450.
A two-hour party Friday - Sunday is $600.

If both slots are available on a given day, both slots may be booked for a four-hour party from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. for double the amount shown above ($900 for Monday - Thursday; $1200 for Friday - Sunday).

Private parties give full access to our facility for up to 300 people, with a full staff of lifeguards on duty. Outside food and drink may be brought in for private parties, as our concession stand will be closed.

We are very happy to make a couple of announcements for the 2026 season!

First, prices for Admission, Season Passes, and Private Parties will remain the same for the upcoming season! This will be the third year in a row that those prices haven't changed!

Admission will be $12 for everyone age two and older. Senior Citizens (65 and older), Military with valid ID, and non-swimmer admission will be $8.

Season Passes will be $100 for an individual. Family passes will be $100 for the first family member, and $50 for each additional family member living at the same address.

Private Parties will be $450 for a two-hour party Monday - Thursday, and $600 for a two-hour party Friday - Saturday. Those prices will be double if booking a four-hour party on days that both slots are available.

We will begin taking reservations for Private Parties on Wednesday, April 1. Season passes and single-day admission may also be purchased beginning April 1.

Finally, we will be open seven more days this season! We are scheduled to open on Saturday, May 23, and scheduled to be open every day, including holidays, through August 9.
