Congratulations to Bryce Bolling for being named the very first recipient of the Steve Fowler Choral Excellence Scholarship from the Fayette County Choir Foundation!

Mr. Fowler served as Fayette County’s choir director for 40 years, inspiring generations of students with his belief that they were capable of achieving true musical excellence. His impact continues to be felt today, as many of his former students remain active in music as educators, performers, church musicians, and members of community choirs.

Bryce was selected for this honor because of his outstanding accomplishments in the Fayette County choral program. Over the past four years, he has shown exceptional dedication, earned All-State honors three times, 2026 District II Tenor/ Bass Outstanding Choral Student, and plans to attend the University of Alabama to pursue a career as a choral music educator. This recognition is well deserved, and we’re excited to see all he will accomplish in the years ahead.

Today was a special day at FCHS as Bryce Bolling and Ki-Jana King officially signed at the FTA ceremony to pursue their futures as choral music educators. Both have been accepted into the University of Alabama’s School of Music and earned music scholarships.

I’m so proud of their dedication, talent, and the hard work that brought them to this point. Congratulations, Bryce and Ki-Jana!

I really don’t have the words to say how proud I am of these students. Watching them grow, work hard, and push through challenges has been so special. Their Sacred Concert and SCPA performances were incredible. I’m so proud of each and every one of them. Congratulations to these amazing young singers!

Tomorrow is a big day for our FCHS Choral Program!

We’ll have four groups performing at the Alabama Vocal Association’s State Choral Performance Assessment and Solo & Ensemble Festival in Tuscaloosa. These students have worked incredibly hard to prepare, and we couldn’t be prouder of their dedication and effort.

Today, Bryce Bolling was honored as the District II Tenor/Bass Outstanding Choral Student for the state of Alabama at the All-State Choral Festival! Bryce exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding choral student through his great musical abilities, leadership, and servant’s heart. Over the last four years, I’ve watched this young man grow into one of the best of the best. Congratulations, Bryce, on being a three-time All-State member and on winning the District II Outstanding Choral Student award!

One of the greatest honors for choir students to achieve is being selected as a member of the Alabama Vocal Association’s All-State Choral Festival!
