2023 Grand Canyon Celebration of Art

The week of September 10th I will be attending the premier painting event in the state of Arizona, The Grand Canyon Conservancy's 15th annual Celebration of Art. Along with 23 other artists I will be painting there for a week. The paintings we make during that week will be available for sale with half the proceeds going toward a permanent art museum at the Grand Canyon.

In addition to the plein air pieces we paint, each artist will have a piece that will be auctioned off. My auction entry is above. It is a 16 by 20-inch acrylic entitled Fire and Rain. John's been busy working on a commission. The subject matter is one of the arches near Aztec, NM. Here is a photo of the subject. These arches are common in the area and are really beautiful and amazing.
