🚩 JAI JAGANNATH! 🙏 Rath Yatra Celebration in Okemos 🚩

What a wonderful opportunity to come together and celebrate the divine Jagannath Rath Yatra, organized by ISKCON, at Hartrick Park, Okemos. 🛕🌺

The Rath Yatra is much more than pulling a chariot—it is a celebration of devotion, togetherness, culture, music, and community. Seeing Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra on the chariot and people joining together in joy makes this such a special occasion.

🙏 May Lord Jagannath bless everyone with happiness, good health, peace, and prosperity.

A beautiful celebration right here in our Okemos community! ❤️

Jai Jagannath! 🙏🚩

Michigan Odissi Dance Academy

Michigan Odissi Dance Academy was founded in 1998, when Guru Manasi Mishra moved to the United States and began teaching Odissi dance to young children. Over the past 28 years, the academy has grown into a vibrant family of students, with hundreds of children and adults learning this beautiful classical dance form.

Many of our students have moved to different states and countries, yet they continue to stay connected with the academy, supporting its mission of preserving and promoting Odissi dance. Their continued love and encouragement are a testament to the lifelong bonds formed through this art.

This year marks a special milestone as we proudly hosted our first Annual Recital & Award Ceremony. It is our vision to make this a cherished tradition and celebrate our students’ dedication and achievements every year.

As we conclude today’s performances on August 2, 2026, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our students, parents, families, volunteers, and supporters. Your encouragement has made this journey possible.

Thank you for being part of this wonderful celebration. We look forward to seeing you again next year as we continue to grow, inspire, and keep the timeless tradition of Odissi dance alive.

Namaskar, and thank you!
