The journey to the jungle has officially begun!

This week, the cast of Disney’s Tarzan the Stage Musical gathered for our very first table read — the starting line of the CCT summer musical adventure. A table read gives actors the chance to hear the flow of the show, meet their fellow castmates, and begin bringing their characters to life.

But this is only the beginning.

Over the next nine weeks, rehearsals will move from the page to the stage with music rehearsals, choreography, scene work, character development, fight calls, prop building, set painting, costume creation, and so much more. It truly takes the whole Tarzan village to bring a CCT production to life, and we are so excited to get started!

A huge THANK YOU to the incredible kids, teens, adults, and families who auditioned for CCT’s Summer 2026 production of Disney’s Tarzan the Stage Musical!

Our audition room was filled with so much talent, energy, bravery, and heart, and we are grateful to every person who shared their time and creativity with us. From familiar faces and returning CCT friends to brand new performers stepping into our community for the very first time — thank you for making this audition process so special.

We continue to be amazed by the passion and support that surrounds CastleCo Theatre, and we cannot wait to begin this exciting jungle adventure together!

Playing March 27-April 12 at the Lakeville Area Arts Center

"Sleeping Beauty The Musical" runs approx. 2 hours and 15mins in length, with a 15 minute intermission, and is most enjoyed by audiences age 5 and up.

ABOUT THE SHOW: The entire kingdom is giddy to celebrate the birth of the princess Aurora, when an unwelcome guest crashes the party and curses the princess to prick her finger on a spinning wheel at the age of 16 and die. In an effort to save the princess, a good fairy alters the spell so that instead of death, the spinning wheel brings an endless sleep to the princess - that can only be broken by true love's kiss. The King orders all the spinning wheels in the kingdom to be broken and the Queen takes Aurora to hide in the woods until the day after her 16th birthday. With up-beat musical numbers, magic, and sword-fights, this fairy-tale follows the journey of Aurora as she discovers who she is and finds the power to follow her dreams.
