It’s BAND CAMP WEEK! We’ve had an amazing summer getting ready for this monumental week and wanted to introduce you all to our new Associate Director of Bands, Mr. Taylor Meeks
🎶 Please join us in welcoming Mr. Taylor Meeks to the Farmington High School Tiger Band family! 🐯
We are thrilled to have Mr. Meeks joining our team and know he will be an incredible addition to the culture and tradition that make FHS Bands so special. While honoring the values and legacy that have shaped our program, he also brings his own passion, creativity, and perspective that will help us continue to grow and provide outstanding musical experiences for our students.
This year, Mr. Meeks will conduct our Symphonic Band, Concert Band, and Jazz II, team-teach Birdland Jazz alongside Ms. Holmes, teach Varsity Band lessons, and serve as the Assistant Director of the Farmington Tiger Marching Band.
His enthusiasm for building relationships, pursuing musical excellence, and investing in students makes him a perfect fit for our department. We can’t wait for our students, families, and community to get to know him.
Please help us give Mr. Meeks a warm Tiger welcome! We are excited for this next chapter and all that is ahead.
Taylor Meeks earned his degree in Music Education from North Dakota State University. For the past four years, he has served as Director of Bands at Aitkin Public Schools, where he led a comprehensive 5-12 band program. Prior to Aitkin, Taylor completed his student teaching with The Farmington High School Band in the fall of 2021. He is excited to return to Farmington, meet all of the students, and contribute to the tradition of excellence that defines the FHS music program. He is equally excited about becoming a part of the community and building relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
