Ryan Gleghorn Named Race Director for DragCoverage Night of Fire
STEELE, AL — As the DragCoverage Night of Fire continues to grow into the biggest drag race in the state of Alabama, DragCoverage is adding another experienced name to the team.
Ryan Gleghorn has been named Race Director for the DragCoverage Night of Fire at Alabama International Dragway.
The Night of Fire has grown into one of the South’s premier grassroots drag racing showcases, bringing together a huge field of Pro Mods, bracket racers, index competitors and Jr. Dragsters for a packed two-day weekend in Steele.
With that growth comes the need for an experienced team capable of keeping a massive racing program organized and moving.
“I'm excited to have Ryan join the DragCoverage team. This race has grown bigger than I ever imagined, and we are building a team to ensure it keeps growing for our grassroots racers,” said DragCoverage founder and Night of Fire promoter TJ Pruitt.
As Race Director, Gleghorn will play a major role throughout the weekend, including checking and monitoring the timing system, managing race order and helping lead DragCoverage’s overall race-day efforts. He will work alongside the DragCoverage and Alabama International Dragway teams to help keep the program organized, efficient and moving throughout the weekend.
Gleghorn brings years of racing knowledge and experience to the position, adding another important piece to the team as Night of Fire continues to grow.
For DragCoverage, the mission remains simple: give grassroots racers a big-time stage and continue building Night of Fire into an event racers and fans look forward to every year.
As Alabama’s biggest drag race continues to grow, the team behind it is growing with it.
