The best thing I could ever give my son is a foundation of Christ. Learning what a personal relationship is with Jesus (without the religiosity that goes along with it). At summer camp today a Yoga instructor came to teach the kids Yoga. Manni in a respectful manner said I don't want to participate. Of course the camp director came with a scare tactic to say I'm going to call your mother and tell her if you don't participate. Now earlier today I heard the Holy Spirit tell me to pray and cover Manni and so I did. Manni stood his ground and said I'm not participating and call my mom if you want to. I never got a call I just picked Manni up and the camp director says to me...Manni didn't participate in the Yoga activity because he's a Christian. I said yes because each pose is dedicated to their god(s) it's not just exercise it's a way of their religion. Long story short Manni chose to be a witness and follow Christ even if there would have been consequences to his actions. And he was able to witness to the other kids who asked him why didn't he participate. I have 9 yrs left to continue cultivating the foundational relationship he has with the Lord before he transitions to college. Once that happens the Lord will build on that firm foundation.
