Bear with me yall! I’m trying to broaden my horizons on video editing😹

My apprentice Taylor Art by SunRae has gotten to do her first tattoos over the last couple weeks 🤩 she tagged me yesterday and I am so proud of her hard work and determination 💛💛💛 I got a little teary eyed watching her pull her first line. here after not too long she’ll be ready for some discounted apprentice tattoos and we’ll need some bodies 😻 will be posting more on that soon ✨

We also had a photoshoot at the studio and I am so in love with the pictures from by Shannon Rae 😻 will be using a lot of these pictures for upcoming content and I’m so excited to share them with you! The base picture of this video is one of her pictures from that shoot💛

There is something so sacred about passing down your traditions, ethics and skillset to an apprentice💛 giving them the opportunity to shine their light and make meaningful markings in our community. Taylor is a deeply magical human and I am so excited to see where this tattoo journey takes her ✨

These tattoos have come full circle for me 😻I did this foot tattoo on Brittany Colbert 7 or 8 years ago or something. (Picture is current and aging Awsome!) back then was a transformative time in her life and this was her first tattoo. She moved to CO shortly after the tattoo.

Fast forward to now, she is now back in the area running a badass flow/circus arts agency and getting more tattoos with me. Along this journey she met an amazing guy to share this life with. Brandon wanted to get a replica of the tattoo I did all those years ago on her foot😻 he’s a color kinda guy so we did a color version of the tattoo✨

These tattoos are super special and nostalgic for me. I reflect on all the I’ve learned and grew with over the years as well as the journey Brittany and Brandon have had too. Tattoos are portals to those times in our lives, for you and your tattoo artist💛

I’m super exited to see more of Brittany and Brandon at events this summer! Check them out at all the folkways bazaars and plains art museum events. ✨
