Who decided green had to be pretty? 💚
This June, Gallery 4 embraces the weird, wonderful, and wonderfully weird side of color with our Feature Wall Exhibit, “Pretty Ugly Green.”

From mossy and muted to electric and unexpected, our Feature Wall Exhibit showcases how Gallery 4 artists interpret a color that can be beautiful, awkward, bold, earthy, nostalgic or all of the above at once.

Some greens soothe. Some greens surprise. Some greens might make you look twice. And that's exactly the point.

It's the 1st of the month which for the premier artists at Gallery 4 means a new featured theme. In June, we are inspired by "Pretty Ugly Green" - it's a new paint color from a company called Backdrop. I have "Green-headed Tanager," which I chose because the colors complement this yellowish olive background so well. Other new pieces today, include "Legendary" in polymer clay, with the surface stained in white oak and the sides in golden mahogany; a smaller mixed media piece with "Farmland" as a focal point; and "Violets," a polymer clay relief sculpture with a vibrant background. ** Update: three days later, already outdated ☺️ … new art in progress! ** I have had a few sales recently, and some others are simply out of rotation... so l thought I'd share my current displays of artwork at Gallery4. A wide selection of fine art giclee prints and note cards are also available.

See it all in person! We are open Monday through Saturday from 10 to 530, and Sunday from noon to four... At 115 Robert St. in downtown Fargo.

Today is Cinco de Mayo AND our Spring Social & Shopping event at Gallery4! The premier artists also recently traded spaces in the main gallery — and here are a few new pieces from me, including smaller items in our Made in Fargo gift shop! I hope you can join us at 115 Roberts St from 4 to 7 PM today for our Art Fiesta. Meet the artists, enjoy refreshments with a south of the border flair, and browse our three galleries and gift shop! It's time for a little retail therapy of the artsy kind 😊.
