🎵What an incredible 2025–2026 Masterworks Season. ❤️
As we look back on this year, we are filled with gratitude for the music we shared, the artists who inspired us, and the community that made it all possible! We thank everyone who attended, every musician, special soloist, collaborator, volunteer, and business partner who helped make this season possible.
🎷MW1: From the New World (Sept. 20 & 21)
We opened with the world premiere of Noir Concerto No. 1 by Fargo-born composer Adam Hochstatter, featuring Russ Peterson on saxophone. The program also included Peterson’s Between Two Cultures with the Buffalo River Singers, a powerful collaboration.
🎵MW2: Music From Within (Nov. 8 & 9)
A showcase of talent from within the orchestra, featuring our principal flutist, Debora Harris, in Mozart’s Flute Concerto No. 2, and Music Director Christopher Zimmerman stepping in as piano soloist for Bloch’s Concerto Grosso for Strings and Piano.
🎹MW3: Symphonic Giants (Jan. 17 & 18)
This weekend featured a side-by-side performance of Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances alongside the -Moorhead Area Youth Symphonies. Tyler Wottrich, Associate Professor of Piano at NDSU, delivered a commanding performance of Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 2.
🎻MW4: The Seasons of Vivaldi & Piazzolla (March 14 & 15)
An all-strings showcase led by Concertmaster Sonja Bosca-Harasim, who brought both Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires to life in a powerful performance.
✨MW5: Il Tabarro & More from Puccini (April 25 & 26)
Our season concluded with the first official co-production with the Fargo-Moorhead Opera, featuring Puccini’s one-act opera Il Tabarro alongside additional works by Puccini. The musicians and voices on stage made for a brilliant finale.
