FMWF Make Music Day

FMWF Make Music Day Make Music Day is a free celebration of music around the world on June 21st (the longest day of the year.) Launched in 1982 in France as the Fête de la Musique.

We are pleased to announce Fargo-Moorhead will debut Make Music Day Tuesday June 21st, 2022.

See below a list venues with timeframes that are still available for performers to sign-up. As a reminder to musical performers, this does not have to be a formal performance for a big crowd of people. We welcome ANY musicians to play just for the sheer love of music, that is the true spirit of what this day is about! Welcome to Make Music Day, World Commons Garden at Rabanus Park of Fargo! "The World Garden Commons at Rabanus Park is the first installation of The Fargo Project, a collaboration between artists and residents to transform a 18-acre storm water basin into an ecological community commons. Musicians can sign-up to play from 3:00p - 7:00p. There is no restrooms, shelter or electricity hook-up for musicians at this facility.

Welcome to Make Music Day, Sodbuster Plaza of Fargo! Located directly north of the Downtown Fargo Library, the Sodbuster plaza has native prairie grasses and benches surrounding the iconic Sodbuster Sculpture. Musicians can sign-up to play between 10:00am-10:00pm Tuesday June 21st.

There is no electricity for performers, so this site is for non-amplified music only. This is an open air plaza with 3 large benches. No other seating is provided. Artists are welcome to perform in the plaza area, but are required to clean up after their show. Please leave the space as it was found.

This northside Fargo Dog Park offers fenced-in areas for large and small dogs to exercise and socialize with seating for dog owners and a dog shelter. They kindly ask no amplification of any kind (amps, mics, or speakers) as it is not permitted at this site

Located right on main avenue with a great courtyard that includes a gazebo. Available to musicians to perform between 3:00p-7:00p. Electricity available for musicians, expect to be under the gazebo. Indoor option for inclement weather! O'KELLY'S is connected to the hotel with food and drink options available for purchase. Yard games available to play.
