⚡️ In 1816—the "Year Without Summer"—a group of legendary writers gathered at Lake Geneva. Trapped indoors by dark skies and violent rain, Lord Byron issued a famous challenge: Who can write the ultimate tale of terror?

Out of that single night came two of Gothic literature’s greatest creations: Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and John Polidori’s The Vampyre.
