Falls Church Arts Please connect with us on Instagram or through our website. This is a grassroots, all-volunteer organization.

Falls Church Arts opened its doors at 700 West Broad in February 2017 at Kensington Corner complete with with A/V services, Wi-Fi, Gallery, and Studio Arts classes. We rely on our member volunteers to help us make things happen. Opportunities include helping to set up shows, helping to keep the gallery open, serving on the group that plans events, writing for the e-newsletter, managing our member database, publicizing events, and much more.

Mother Nature said, “ Aht, aht, not so fast!”

Our Plein Air Festival finale has been postponed AGAIN! It is postponed due to forecasted weather, but we’re not giving up, and neither should you!

The new date is Saturday, October 24.

Where pigment meets water, something unexpected can happen.

Join us for the Meet the Artists Reception for Flow, a juried exhibition celebrating the expressive possibilities of water-based media, from watercolor and gouache to acrylic, inks, dyes, water-based pencils and crayons, tempera, and water-miscible oils.

✨ Opening Reception: Saturday, October 10 | 7–9 PM
🎨 Exhibition: October 10–November 29, 2026
🎤 Artist Talk: Sunday, November 8 | 2–4 PM

Apparently, Mother Nature has decided to rain on our Plein Air Festival 🌧️🎨

The festival has been postponed again due to the forecasted rain. But third time’s the charm, right? 🤞🏽

📅 NEW DATE: Saturday, October 17

So, sharpen those pencils, clean those brushes, and let’s try this one more time. Hopefully the only thing falling from the sky that day is inspiration.

The finale to the Plein Air Festival has been postponed due to forecasted windy weather.
The new date is Saturday, October 3rd.

Plein Air Festival & Quick Draw!
Artists will be painting throughout Falls Church City August 29-September 25, capturing the city en plein air.

Join us Saturday, October 3, 9 AM-12 PM at Falls Church City Hall, 300 Park Ave.
Free & open to the public!

Come see the artwork, vote for the People’s Choice Award, and watch artists compete in the Quick Draw Competition from 8-11 AM-open to all ages and skill levels!

Painters have until Friday, September 25 to finish their plein air paintings.

Join us Saturday, September 26, 9 AM–12 PM at Falls Church City Hall for a morning of art, creativity, and plein air paintings!
