That’s a wrap on the 2026 season!
As we close out another season at Top Gun Dragstrip, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make this year possible.
There are so many people behind the scenes who put in countless hours to keep this track moving.
A huge thank you to Mark Gonzales and Lonnie Grace, who spent countless hours throughout the week working on the infrastructure and keeping things moving in the right direction.
Thank you to John and Rhonda, who stayed on with us this year and continued passing along their knowledge and experience of track operations. That experience is invaluable to us.
Carol Tanner and Mike Sasser—thank you for keeping the cars moving and helping make race days run as smoothly as possible.
Chereen Brown and Lily Bushek—thank you for handling the front gate and time slips and being the first faces so many of our racers see when they arrive.
Ruby and Ethan—thank you for taking care of the gift shop and everything that comes with it.
And Ed Keefe… I’m not sure how many checks you wrote this year, but I’m fairly certain you have a permanent case of writer’s cramp! 😂 Thank you for everything you do.
I also can't forget my family. My wife and kids stepped in, filled holes, covered areas where we needed help, and supported me through another long season. I couldn't do this without them, and I can't thank them enough.
And to Logan, James, the Woods family, the Setterbergs, Joel Hudson, and all of the other volunteers and staff who gave their time throughout the year—thank you. There are too many people to name, but please know that every hour you gave mattered.
But most importantly, we do all of this for the racers and their families.
Thank you to every racer who loaded up the trailer, drove through the gates, spent the weekend with us, and continued to support Top Gun Dragstrip. Without you, none of this would be possible.
This season taught us a lot. We know there are things we can improve, and we're going to take everything we learned in 2026 and use it to make 2027 even better.
Our goal is simple: a better track, better racing, and an even better experience for you and your families.
From all of us at Top Gun Dragstrip—thank you for an incredible 2026 season.
