Saturday, May 23rd at 10 am at the Gallery on Main —
Calling all artists! Join us to learn about taking photos of your art. A good photo can be the difference between getting into a show or making a sale, or not. This class will cover basic photography principles: framing; lighting; and settings. In addition the class will cover setting up scenes for scale and interest, simple editing and basic shot planning.
Bring your iPhone, Android Phone or digital camera and a couple of pieces of your artwork and learn how to take the photos that will make your artwork shine!

About the Instructor: Natalie Kafader (https://www.nataliekafader.com/) has over 10 years of experience as a professional photographer doing product, event and portrait photography.
In the afternoon … we have two more workshops! Pastel painting and portrait painting.
Stick around for Portrait Painting with Mikyoung Osborne 1-3:30 p.m. Immerse yourself in portrait painting within the nurturing nature of our small group class. As you build upon your existing techniques, allow the innovative methods demonstrated by our instructor to spark new ideas and elevate your artistic practice.
Bring your own supplies, come and discover your unique artistic style with every brushstroke.

At 1:00-3:30 Lisa Martin will ALSO present Pastel Techniques at the gallery (in a separate space). We will try a variety of beginnings … under-painting with watercolor, or pastel with a smudge stick, pastel with alcohol, or pastel with water. You may use a reference photo of your choice. If you have pastels, great! Lisa will also bring additional materials (pastels and pastel paper) if you’d need them.
