Life seems to get shorter by the minute and weekends just vanish in a blink. It is so key that you make the most of those precious hours where you don't have to get up with the alarm and trudge off to good old work. We have throwing sessions waiting just for you and your best buds. Book ahead or stop in as a walk-in. We welcome anyone 18 and older daily, and kids aged 10 and up can join our LumberJack Jr. sessions every Wednesday night, Saturday afternoon, and all day Sunday (and guess what? Kids 10-15 can throw for free all summer!). Feel free to bring your own drinks if you’re 21 or older (just not when you’re with a kid), and don’t forget to bring some food!

Hey there, World Cup Adventurers! We totally get it—you’re bursting with excitement and energy as you gear up to head to Boston Stadium to celebrate your team's quest for victory! Why not channel that incredible enthusiasm into an awesome session of hatchet throwing or rock tossing? We have three fantastic types of hatchets and a brand-new Rock Throwing Pit where you can aim for some fun targets and find out who’s got the best skills! And guess what? Starting in July, we’ll also be adding throwing knives to our lineup! We're conveniently located just 20 minutes from Providence and 40 minutes from Boston Stadium. Join us from Wednesday to Sunday for ages 18 and up, and for those of you with kiddos aged 10-17, we host LumberJack Jr. sessions on Wednesday nights, Saturday afternoons, and all day Sunday! Plus, we’re BYOB (bring your beer, wine, seltzers, and ciders, just not if you're bringing kids) and BYOF (feel free to grab some takeout or get food delivered right here at Stumpy's)! Sunday Spotlight: Stumpy’s Hatchet House Fall River 🪓

Fall River, this is not your usual Sunday Spotlight.

Over on Ferry Street, inside an old mill warehouse, Kim and Bryan Besse built something completely different for the city. They opened Stumpy’s Hatchet House Fall River in 2019, bringing axe throwing, group nights, team events, date nights, parties, and a whole lot of “wait, we can do that here?” energy to Fall River.

And honestly, the idea fits this city a little too perfectly.

A hatchet-throwing spot in the same city forever tied to Lizzie Borden history? That is peak Fall River. But Stumpy’s is not just about throwing hatchets at a target. It is about the whole experience. You can bring your own food and drinks, with BYOB allowed for beer and wine only, no hard liquor, hang out in the lounge areas, play games, cheer each other on, and turn a regular night into a story.

They offer hatchet throwing and yes, even a rock throwing pit, because apparently Fall River needed one more way to settle friendly debates.

And if you go, do not miss the massive 16-foot Lizzie Borden mural inside the venue. That alone feels like one of those only-in-Fall-River details that makes the whole place hit different.

Sunday is also a big win for families because of their LumberJack Jr sessions. Sundays are the special day kids ages 10 to 17 can throw with a parent or guardian, which makes this one of the more unique family-friendly things to do in the city.

What makes this spotlight worth sharing is the local business story behind it. Kim and Bryan took a big, old mill space and turned it into something active, social, and different. That is the kind of reuse Fall River does best: take something with history and give it a whole new life.
