Here is a our winner with her very special Father’s Day story:
This Father's Day is especially emotional for our family as it's the first one without my dad, who passed away last July. One of the people who feels that loss deeply is my husband, Cory. My dad called Cory almost every day, honestly, more than he called me. Cory was the son my dad never had, and the bond they shared was truly special. Cory still talks about how much he misses those conversations and the friendship they had.
Cory is one of the hardest working people I know. He works nearly 60 hours a week at his full time job and still spends weekends helping alongside me at the winery. Yet no matter how busy he is, he's always the first person to step up when someone needs help. He has a servant's heart and is the kind of friend everyone wishes they had.
When our daughters were growing up, Cory volunteered countless hours coaching their basketball teams and cheering them on from the sidelines. Today, they're two driven, hardworking young women, and I know so much of that comes from the values, work ethic, and example he set for them every day.
I feel incredibly blessed to have shared nearly 25 years of marriage with him and to have watched him be such an amazing father. Cory is selfless, dependable, hardworking, and kind. He is truly deserving of every good thing life has to offer, and I'm proud to celebrate him not just on Father's Day, but every day.
