Merry Christmas Everyone! Normally this is the time of year when I create my driftwood sculptures. Earlier this year however my beautiful wife retired. We are now traveling much more, and are blessed to be spending a lot of time together! We also blessed to be spending a lot of time with our six grand children who all live near by. This reallocation of time combined with my arthritic thumbs are limiting the number of sculptures that I will be creating. I have managed to create a few Christmas trees this season. Thank you for your interest in my sculptures, and I am humbled as always! God bless you and all your families!

Fresh back from a month long trip out west with the most beautiful lady in the world who is also my wife, best friend, and fishing buddy. Spent time in Denver, Custer State Park SD, Spearfish Canyon SD, Big Horn National Park MT, Red Lodge MT, Bear Tooth HWY, Fishtail MT, Custer National Park MT, Silvergate MT, Gardiner MT, Yellowstone National Park, Paradise Valley MT, and the Grand Tetons WY to mention a few. Fished many lakes, rivers, and creeks including Syvan Lake SD, French Creek SD, Lakota Lake SD, Stockade Lake SD, Bismark Lake SD, Grace Coolidge Creek SD, French Creek SD, Rock Creek MT, Stillwater River MT, Greenough Lake MT, Trout Lake MT, Yellowstone River, Gibbons River MT, Hoback River WY, Bradley Lake WY, Jenny Lake WY, Groos Ventura River WY, Snake River WY, and Lake Creek WY. We went on too many hikes to count, and saw mountain goats, moose, bear, fox, porcupines, elk, deer, and buffalo to mention a few. We Caught 36 fish including Brook Trout, Brown Trout, Snake River Cutthroat Trout, and my favorite catch as pictured above a 22” Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout. I could not ask for a better trip or anyone better to spend it with! We are not done playing and having fun yet! When we are done I will be inspired and make more sculptures. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Vermilion’s “All Washed UP”, driftwood Art Contest and Show takes place Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 10 am to 3 pm at beautiful, shady Exchange Park in the center of downtown Vermilion, Ohio. THANK YOU ALL!
210 of my driftwood sculptures have become part of YOUR HOMES! I am truly HUMBLED! I would never have thought it generate this much interest for something I love to do!
It has been three years since I began making driftwood fish sculptures. The sculptures have now evolved to include fish, crosses, trees, birds, deer, and other characters.
I do this for the fun of it, and never want to turn this into a job! I truly enjoy retirement and the freedom it brings with it. Therefore, I only create these in the winter months when I am not busy with my other passions or spending time with my precious wife, children, and grandchildren.
My search for unique pieces of driftwood however never ceases. I stroll the beaches a couple times a week throughout the year which has also become my prayer time.
Anyways, my posts generally slow down in the warmer months but I ALWAYS REMAIN THANKFUL TO YOU ALL for allowing my artwork to be part of your home! THANK YOU AGAIN, and GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

A little "AMERICAN EAGLE" found this week along the shores of Lake Erie! Sea glass was also very abundant. Not quite sure what to do with the sea glass, but it looks great in a little bowl for now. Walks along the ocean or lake never get boring and alway yield surprises!

Meet the “Driftwood’s"! They are having a family fun day at their favorite tree!
All pieces including the tree are natural as found and just sculpted together from Lake Erie driftwood. I try to keep the driftwood natural, and never cut, sand, color, or glue pieces when making sculptures. God and nature create such beautiful art and I feel blessed to find these sculpture pieces.
