What a way to close out the 2026 Center Stage Concert Series! 🎶

Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Perinton Amphitheater for an incredible final evening of summer music featuring The Downtown Men and their amazubg Billy Joel tribute performance.

We are grateful to all the residents, families, friends, and visitors who came out throughout the season to enjoy free live music, connect with neighbors, and make lasting summer memories. Your support and enthusiasm are what make the Center Stage Concert Series such a special community tradition.

One Last Night of FREE Summer Music at Center Stage! 🎶☀️

Celebrating a Summer to Remember ☀️🌳🎳🐒💦

As we look back on Summer Camp 2026, we're filled with gratitude for the laughter, friendships, and unforgettable memories made along the way.

From park games and creative crafts to team challenges and splash-filled adventures, campers spent their days learning, growing, and having fun with friends old and new. Every camp location brought its own energy, and every camper helped make this summer special.

This year also took campers beyond our camp sites and out into the community for exciting adventures at AMF Lanes Fairport, Regal Eastview, Hidden Valley Animal Adventures, Seneca Park Zoo, Altitude Trampoline Park, Roc City Circus, Roseland Water Park, and Wickham Farms. Whether they were meeting animals, bouncing through obstacle courses, cooling off at the water park, or sharing laughs on a field trip, each experience added to a summer full of discovery and joy.

A special thank you to our campers, families, counselors, and staff whose enthusiasm, support, and dedication make these programs possible year after year. The connections built, confidence gained, and memories created this summer will last long after the season ends.

Thank you for making Summer Camp 2026 one to remember. We can't wait to see what next summer brings!

Coming Soon: A New Sensory Room at the Perinton Community Center!

We’re excited to share that construction will begin soon on a new Sensory Room at the Perinton Community Center! Located adjacent to the Community Center lobby and overlooking the Aquatic Center, the Sensory Room will provide a safe, calming space that engages the senses through sight, sound, touch, and movement. The space will support emotional regulation, help reduce anxiety, and offer youth and adults an opportunity to relax during structured and drop-in activities.

Designed to support individuals with a wide range of disabilities, the room will include various types of seating, LED tables, fidgets, an interactive wall, and other sensory-related items. It will also provide an engaging space for visitors while family members participate in other Community Center programs.

The project also advances the Town’s ongoing work to make Recreation & Parks facilities and programs more accessible and inclusive. A Town-commissioned accessibility assessment by Rochester Accessible Adventures recommended creating a designated quiet area within the Community Center to provide a safe, consistent and reliable environment for children with sensory needs and those who may benefit from additional behavioral support.

Construction begins Monday, August 31, and will take place in phases over approximately six weeks. The lobby will remain open throughout the project, although visitors may experience typical construction noise. Vending machines will also be temporarily unavailable before being relocated within the lobby.

The Perinton Town Board recently approved the Sensory Room project, which will be fully funded through a Monroe County ARPA grant.

We look forward to bringing this new inclusive space to the Perinton Community Center and sharing updates as the project takes shape!

That’s a Wrap on the 2026 Gazebo Concert Series! 🎶

Thank you to everyone who joined us tonight at Vincent G. Kennelley Park for a fantastic season finale featuring Herding Cats. From classic rock favorites to crowd-pleasing hits spanning decades, the band delivered a great evening of music to close out another memorable summer at the gazebo.

We’re grateful to all of the performers, attendees, volunteers, and community partners who helped make this year's concert series such a success. Seeing neighbors, friends, and families come together week after week is what makes these summer traditions so special.

Thank you for spending your summer evenings with us. We look forward to seeing you again next year!

🎾🏀 Perinton Park Court Improvement Project Update 🏓

Exciting progress is being made on the tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts at Perinton Park! Since construction began, crews have completed several major phases of work, including:
✅ Removal of the existing fencing
✅ Milling and removal of the old court surfaces
✅ Installation of the new court surface

The project is now entering the final stages of construction, which include surface curing, court coloring, striping, fencing installation, and other finishing touches needed to prepare the courts for play.

When completed, the renovated facility will feature:
🎾 Four resurfaced tennis courts
🏓 Six dedicated pickleball courts
🏀 A resurfaced basketball court

Construction remains on schedule, and we anticipate the courts will reopen by mid to late September, weather permitting.

We appreciate the community's patience as this important investment in Perinton Park moves closer to completion. These improvements will provide safer, higher-quality recreational spaces and help meet the growing demand for tennis, pickleball, and basketball opportunities in our community. We'll continue to share updates as work progresses and look forward to welcoming players back to the courts soon!
