🎵 What a perfect night to kick off summer! ☀️🪕

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Kennelley Park for our first Children’s Gazebo Concert of the season! The Mike Kornrich Trio kept the crowd moving with fun, upbeat, singalong kids tunes—and the best part? Kids dancing, laughing, and letting loose around the pavilion. Members of the Ping Pong Parkinson’s program at the Perinton Community Center recently welcomed a special guest speaker from Medtronic who provided an overview of Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), a treatment option that can help individuals with Parkinson’s disease manage movement symptoms and regain greater independence in their daily lives.

Ping Pong Parkinson’s is a unique program designed specifically for individuals living with Parkinson’s disease. Using the fast-paced game of table tennis, participants work to improve coordination, balance, reaction time, and cognitive function—all while building friendships and finding support within a welcoming community.

The Perinton chapter began just over a year ago and has grown into a thriving program. Thanks to the dedication of local volunteers and supporters, the group established a nonprofit foundation, raised funds for equipment, and partnered with Perinton Recreation & Parks to bring this valuable program to the community.

With nearly 90,000 Americans diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease each year, programs like Ping Pong Parkinson’s provide meaningful opportunities to stay active, connected, and engaged.

📍 Ping Pong Parkinson's meets on Thursdays and Sundays from 1:00–3:00 PM at the Perinton Community Center.
