Fairport Canal Days is one of the most popular arts festivals in the Northeast, attracting close to 200,000 visitors on the first weekend of June every year. The festival features over 200 artisans, as well as a variety of music venues, food items, and booths by Fairport Perinton Merchants Association members who sponsor the event. The Canal Days festival began in the mid 1970s, growing exponentia

lly over the years, but always remaining a family-friendly event with something for everyone. Having received its name in the early 1800’s from a traveler who declared it a “fair port”, it remains a showcase stop for boaters to this day. Fairport’s “front porch friendly” streets echo its past with beautiful Victorian homes and historic buildings, blended with modern facilities and parks. The first word that comes to mind for many when describing Fairport is “community”. Fairport Canal Days is the epitome of this word, a volunteer run event that welcomes you to be part of our community.

Fairport, we’re headed your way this Saturday for Canal Days.

The Son Henry Band will be bringing the grooves, the slide guitar, and a whole pile of original Americana to one of the best summer festivals around. If you like rootsy blues, deep cut country vibes, and music that sounds even better by the canal with a cold drink in your hand, come find us.

Music, boats, food, old friends, new friends, and hopefully some nice sprint weather!

Fairport Duck RaceTickets will be on sale at the yellow tent in the center of Main St. near the Tasting Market during the festival - get yours before Sunday at 3:00pm when the race begins!

Free Shuttles!
Park at either Minerva Deland School or Johanna Perrin Middle School and take the free shuttles, including an accessible shuttle, that bring you right to the Village Landing entrance on Perrin Street.
