Alexandra Hurney, Caroline Porter and Sydney Wren, A trio of active artists in the Fairmont community, have their art on display now through May 10 at the Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont. Each artist has their own style and their own story but they’ve found common ground, and friendship, through the emerging art scene in Fairmont.

A few weeks ago, Anna Po***ck and Abby Melbye from the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council visited Fairmont to work on an article and explore some of the exciting projects local artist extraordinaire Caroline Porter has been involved in. We can’t wait to see the article and will be sure to share it when it comes out!

Caroline serves as Vice Chairman of the newly formed Art Studio & Gallery (The Hive) Committee, an exciting step forward for this project, and was joined by fellow Hive Committee members Sydney Rose Wren and Alexandra Hurney Artist/ The Wicked Fox to give a tour of the soon-to-be-unveiled space. Of course, we made sure to invite them (and now YOU!) to The Hive Open House on May 16 & 17. Details coming soon!

We’re grateful to the Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council for their interest in the arts in our community and for taking the time to learn more about The Hive.

Imagine Martin’s Board of Directors is excited to share that a group of local artists has been selected to serve on a committee for the soon-to-be-unveiled Art Studio & Gallery (The Hive). The Hive Committee will help guide its creative vision, programming, and events.

This week, committee members Caroline Porter, Sydney Wren, Lee Kanten, Char Kahler, Jeanie Kanten, Elliot Ehlers, Alexandra Hurney, and Danielle Moeller met to kick things off and begin bringing new ideas to life at The Hive.

In addition to their roles on The Hive Committee, Alexandra Hurney, Danielle Moeller, and Ashley Jensen Haake also serve on Imagine Martin’s Board of Directors.
