As we close the curtain on another incredible season and showcase weekend, my heart is flooded with gratitude.
This weekend wasn’t about trophies, titles, status or winning. It was about courage. It was about growth. It was about children stepping onto a stage, facing their fears, and sharing a piece of themselves with the world.
From our tiniest dancers taking their very first steps under the lights to our most experienced performers, every single child brought something special to that stage. Whether they dance one day a week or seven, whether they are recreational or competitive, each and every one of them mattered. Each and every one of them was celebrated and cheered for and loved!!
What makes Leap of Faith so special isn’t the dancing (although I think our dancing is pretty spectacular 😉). It’s the way these kids love and support one another. It’s watching friendships form, confidence bloom, fears be conquered, and seeing children discover they are capable of so much more than they ever imagined. It’s creating a safe space for each child to find themselves - That’s the magic of Leap of Faith, and it’s what makes every long day, every late night, and every challenge worth it.
A weekend like this doesn’t happen by accident. Thank you to our incredible staff ( Sophia Arribada, Nick Claudina, Allison Elizabeth, Deja Dominguez, Hailey Botelho, Chelsea Velez, Felicity Botelho, Aviah Mendes, Olivia Arribada, Aubree Witkos, and Kennedy Rene) who pour their hearts into these dancers every single week. Thank you to the countless volunteers (Wendy Ferreira, Paul Botelho, Andrew Paul, Peyton Illingsworth, Madelyn Chandler, Kristina Souza, Amanda Paul) and the friends (Lauren Rose, Marissa Johnson) who stepped up wherever they were needed, often behind the scenes, without expecting any recognition. Your support means more than you know.
And a special thank you to my husband Jimmy WiseOne Harris, who somehow manages to survive recital season year after year. Thank you for being my sounding board, my biggest supporter, and the steady presence that helps keep everything moving when things get chaotic. I couldn’t do this without you.
Thank you to our dancers for inspiring us, and our families for trusting us. The Year They Went to Disney may be over, but the memories we made will last forever. ✨
Now… who’s ready for Season 6!! Sign up today!!
