As our summer season comes to a close, we find ourselves thinking of hot faire days filled with visits from delighted patrons and cool evening hours spent in the very best of company. Stories, laughter, grand schemes…

We got to celebrate our fifteenth merchant year and our twenty second year together (by human count, of course) with champagne, caviar, and found family.

Forever will we deny how Liffey’s painfully sweet ‘Wild Mountain Thyme’ and ‘Parting Glass’ done in a most unjustly heart-wrenching manner made us both cry (twice). It *never* happened. Certainly not.

We got to share our shade and our stage with so many of our performer colleagues, and we send our devilish love to each and every one of you. Our bard collection has grown exponentially!

We sold out our wares - yet again! 🍻Thank you a hundred times over. Thank you for seeing the magic. Rest assured, there is much more where that came from…and new things on the horizon. 😈

Not only can you find our exquisite hand-crafted wares at our shop, but if you're lucky, you might just find one of Merriwick's finest musicians as well! (Or perhaps taking a very well-earned bard nap.)

Our teeny tiny bard stage occasionally features illustrious talents such as Lady Victoria, The, Earl the Bard | travelling Hurdy Gurdy player, Bandmates-BOWI, Jeremy Graeff, and other stunningly talented performers! There is no set schedule - the music upon our stage is as wild and spontaneous as the merchants who built it. We'd have it no other way.

There is a shortage of exquisitely crafted horns in the kingdom! Hoping that one specific pair of turquoise horns you've been eyeing for the last three weekends is still there? Thou had best make haste to our shop! All colorways are one of a kind, and once that stunning pair has sold, there is not another to replace it. So put on thy boots, fill thy hydration vessel, and adventure the winding path down to our shop before the outfit accessory of your underworld dreams scampers off with someone else!

What a stunning third weekend, Washington Midsummer Ren Faire! The rain-dousing we got was much needed.

To those who stopped by to pick up horns and other treasures, adopt a Dustling, or turn in a quest, many thanks!

It was delightful hearing tales of your adventures throughout Merriwick. Some of you are savvy adventurers and even better storytellers that know just when to add a bit of embellishment. Bravo!

The shop will be open for business next weekend from 10-7 as we brace ourselves for a proper party-crashing from smooth-talking scallywags, unscrupulous mercenaries, and other wild characters from the high seas.

Somehow, enough magic was gathered to conjure up a clutch of Dustlings for Dark Fantasy at Washington Midsummer Ren Faire. Perhaps it was the pull of the silver summer moon that helped usher them into being. Perhaps that is why they each come bearing a beautiful darkness; from long, trailing black cloaks to bones and leather, these Dustlings are here to embrace the shadows.

The first weekend of has come to an end, and we find ourselves tinkering away in pockets of shade, sipping chilly cocktails, musing about things to come. In the shimmering humidity, a band of rainbow color streaks across the summer-blue expanse, caught up in wisps of cloud, and we think it is a fine sign indeed.

Rainbows are a funny thing, seeming to appear on our travels at times of opportunity. And so it is with this in mind that we offer this adventurer’s advice: Never take a rainbow for granted, as it appears to your eyes entirely unique from your exact vantage point; no two people view a rainbow exactly the same - it is a moment and a sight yours and yours alone.

As the morning sun rose above Merriwick, the sound of a mirthful voice carried, singing of the veiled sordidness of the exploits of a German clock winder. As he sang, he played, lanky fingers moving along the clicky-clacky keys of a richly lacquered, mahogany-colored hurdy-gurdy. Bells hanging here and there on his person jingled in time with the merry music. When the song finished, he set his instrument down on the tiny stage, stretched his hands, and went for a stroll to take the slowness of the morning hours before the hustle and bustle of the hot summer afternoon, when he would be busy singing epic tales and playing enchanting melodies for the passersby.

Quinn and Bloom both wore little smiles as they watched him wander off. Bloom hung another set of horns on an iron hook, and Quinn fluffed up a vase of flowers that had wilted some in the prior day's heat. It was delightful, having a bard in their midst.

The skies slowly grey and darken as we approach the final weekend of . Put on your best adventuring boots, grab your cloak, and come join us for some rainy day revels! A few sprinkles might dampen the ground, but certainly won't dampen our blazing merchant spirits.

We have but one Dustling still in search of a home, and the rest of our wares are dwindling at an equally brisk clip. Marvelous news - we managed to procure two more of our newest spirits, the Feverbane rats! If you have fancied picking something up from the magical mercantile, be sure to stop by on Saturday!
