Today, we celebrate freedom, honor the sacrifices of those who came before us, and recognize the lasting impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in shaping leaders, innovators, educators, artists, and musicians.

The traditions we carry on the field, in the stands, and throughout our communities are rooted in a legacy of excellence, resilience, and pride.

As we reflect on the journey toward freedom, we remain committed to uniting, mentoring, and inspiring the next generation of drum majors, dancers, color guard performers, percussionists, and band leaders.

🎺🥁🏳️HBCU Band Connect is a nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring, educating, and connecting the next generation of marching band leaders through the rich traditions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Our mission is to provide high school students with access to elite instruction, mentorship, leadership development, and performance opportunities led by current and former HBCU drum majors, musicians, dancers, color guard members, and percussionists.

Through clinics, camps, workshops, and community partnerships, HBCU Band Connect helps students develop their musical talents, build confidence, strengthen leadership skills, and prepare for success both on and off the field. We are committed to preserving the culture, excellence, and legacy of HBCU bands while creating pathways for future generations to thrive.
