Summer camp spotlight- Pottery Boot Camp - Drills and Skills Baby! Process, process process...you will be blown away by how much you excel! This is a concentrated class focused on skills and techniques (centering, opening, pulling walls, and opening into a piece) . This is a great week to prepare your teen for our after school wheel classes; with the knowledge to grow as a potter.

If you’ve taken our bootcamps before, you can pick up where you left off, and your instructor will work with you on a more advanced plan. The class is limited capacity to ensure proper instructions…. Spots fill up quickly, so reserve soon! 🔗 in bio for sign ups!

Art Exhibition 🖼️ Next Wednesday, May 6th from 5-7 pm at the Studio - featuring works from our paintings class. This event is open to the public. Please join us to celebrate these inspiring artists. Perhaps you’re curious about the class, the teacher will be there and the painters will be there to talk about the class and their work. Come check it out!🎨 Meet the Painters! 🎨

Kathy O’Shea is new to painting—but you’d never guess it. Her work bursts with the same vivacious energy she brings into the room!

Teigan Landsfield may be the youngest among us, but don’t be fooled—she paints with the soul (and skill!) of an old master.

Rachel Magun, a seasoned painter, fills both her canvases and our studio with positivity—it’s impossible not to feel it in her work.

Gay Gasser is nothing short of prolific. Her paintings are bold, vibrant, and an absolute force of color and beauty.

Michael Babich paints when inspiration strikes—and when it does, watch out! He goes big, experimental, and full of passion.

And me? I’m Julie Mori, and I’ll have a few pieces on the wall as well.

Summer camp - closer look 👀: Take your pencil for a walk! Dates - Jun 22, 2026 - Jun 26, 2026 - did you know we offer morning camp for the your little one and afternoon sessions for your slightly bigger kiddos? Each week the class offerings will be geared towards the specific age, groups, skill sets, and interests. This class offers a fun, confidence-building drawing exercises using line, movement, and observation. Where possible and weather permitting, we will be outside, observing nature and our surroundings, practicing our drawing prompts, working toward a sketchbook full of stories. Art Play 🎨🖌️ Making marks on paper can be fun! Find your inner artist through a short series of activities, none of which require representational drawing. Maybe you’ll move your pencil to music blindfolded...You might leave with a drawing that the entire group has worked on, or that has been created by rotating it 360 degrees as you work. We’ll have on hand a variety of easy to use media to experiment with. All that’s required is an open mind!

☀️☀️SUMMER CAMPS 2026 ☀️☀️
Weekly art camps at The Studio in Fairfield, CT run June 22 through August 14, with a new theme each week, from pottery and printmaking to surrealist painting and watercolor.

We run two sessions each day: mornings (9:30am–12:30pm) for 1st through 5th grade, and afternoons (1–4pm) for 6th through 12th grade, so everyone works with their peers in a small, focused group.

Each week is self-contained, so campers can join for one session or the whole summer. The Studio is a safe, supportive space where kids and teens build friendships, develop new skills, and find their creative voice. Link 🔗 in bio for full list of camp offerings all Summer long. Sign up today!

THE MORE YOU DRAW, THE MORE YOU SEE!
Through slowing down and working with a variety of materials, we will build a strong foundation in drawing together; covering sketching, positive and negative space, line weight, contour, gesture, composition, value etc. 2 hr weekly, this is a beginner drawing class and needs to be start to finish.
