Our dancers competed in Platte at ICE Follies Dance Competition on March 14th. Teams that performed were “You’ll Be In My Heart’ tiny division, ‘Almost There’ mini division, and ‘Love Who I Am’ senior division. In the youth division “Somewhere Only We Know” placed 2nd and
“Rolling in the Deep” placed 3rd. And in the junior division ‘Classic’ placed 2nd and ‘Eternity” again, dancing in memory of Izaak, brought home 1st place! This wrapped up our competitions for the season as we are in the final stretch before recitals. Spring Recitals will be held at the Bonesteel Gymnasium in Bonesteel SD on both Friday April 24th and Saturday April 25th at 7:30pm.

‘Eternity’ This lyrical number is compiled of eighteen 7th-12th grade dancers in total. We missed some here and there at competitions.
This dance has been performed in memory of Izaak and not only brought home 1st place at all three dance competitions this year but the thirteen dancers able to attend Bling Fling in Winner also received “BEST STORY TOLD” and“GRAND CHAMPION”!!! “Eternity” is a piece you do not want to miss. The emotion this team dances with touches your soul. I am so proud of each and every one of them! Spring Recitals will be held at the Bonesteel Gymnasium in Bonesteel SD on both Friday April 24th and Saturday April 25th at 7:30pm. Come support all our dancers and watch this unforgettable performance.

On March 7th many dancers attended the ‘Bling Fling Dance Competition’ in Winner despite the morning weather. Performing were “You’ll Be In My Heart” tiny division, “Almost There” mini division, and “Love Who I Am” senior division. Our youth teams “Somewhere Only We Know” placed 3rd and ‘Rolling in the Deep’ placed 4th. In the junior division ‘Classic’ placed 2nd, while our lyrical piece ‘Eternity’ danced in memory of Izaak and brought home 1st place!

EDS Dancers traveled to Chamberlain on February 21st to attend the Rock’n on the River Dance Competition. Dance teams included, “You’ll Be in My Heart” tiny division, “Almost There” mini division, “Somewhere Only We Know” 2nd place and “Rolling in the Deep” 1st place in the youth division, “Classic” 2nd place and “Eternity” 1st place in the junior division, and “Love Who I Am” senior division. We were the only dance teams in attendance so we competed against our own teams. This was a great first competition.
