Such a great first week at Dance Concepts Studio! 🩰✨ Our dancers are doing amazing, Miss Emily and Miss Mary are off to a wonderful start, and we even had a little visit from Miss Ashley! 💕

✨ Meet Miss Mary! ✨

We’re so excited to have Miss Mary back for another magical year of dance! 💕 When she’s not in the studio, she works as a K–2 intervention specialist and loves hiking, reading, yoga, cooking, and all things music. She sings and plays guitar, piano, and ukulele! 🎶

Miss Mary also has two cats, Morpheus and Athena, and Athena even joins her at school as a therapy cat! 🐱 Her favorite Disney princess is Belle because she always sees the good in those around her, and her favorite season is fall because it’s the perfect time to get cozy. 🍂

We can’t wait for another wonderful year of dancing with Miss Mary! 🩰✨

🩰 Meet Miss Emily! 🩰

Miss Emily has been a beloved part of the Dance Concepts family for many years, and we are so excited for another season of her sharing her love of dance with our students! 💙

When she’s not at the studio, Emily works as a K–2 intervention specialist with a focus on reading and is also a registered yoga instructor who teaches hot yoga. Dancing is one of her favorite things, along with relaxing on her porch with a good book.

A few fun facts about Miss Emily: her favorite colors are blue and green, fall is her favorite season, and Moana is her favorite Disney princess because she is brave and strong. She also has a fluffy cat named Simon! 🐱

And the sweetest news of all… Miss Emily and her husband are expecting their first baby, a little boy, this January! 💙 Our Dance Concepts family is so excited for them and can’t wait to welcome this tiny new addition.

We are so grateful for Miss Emily and the joy, love, and energy she brings to Dance Concepts year after year! ✨🩰

Meet the Teacher Bios:

🌟 Miss Ashley Shinholster– Owner/Director 🌟

💖 ABOUT ME: I am a girly girl, wife to Bawe (rhymes with Maui!), and mom to three amazing kids: Blessing (9½), Bear (8½), and Kingdom (6). Being a mom is “MY JAM!”

💖 FREE TIME: I am the children’s book author of Be U Bear , and I love sharing its message of inclusion, kindness, and celebrating what makes each of us unique. I am also passionate about my work with the nonprofit Kingdom Inclusion and love being involved at my church, Crossroads. I love New York City, spending time with my family, watching FRIENDS, and cheering on the Bengals!

💖 FUN FACTS: My favorite Disney Princess is Cinderella. I have hiked an active volcano, traveled the world on seven cross-cultural mission trips, and danced in New York City with the Radio City Rockettes.

Families who register tomorrow will receive a FREE DCS dancer t-shirt! 💖

Because of our limited studio space, classes are expected to fill quickly this season, so we highly encourage early registration for the best class availability.

If you are unable to attend tomorrow, online registration will open Thursday, June 4th.

Join us Thursday, May 28th from 11:00–12:30 at the Cincinnati Sports Club outdoor pool entrance for Priority Registration for the 2026–2027 dance season at Dance Concepts Studio!

Classes are expected to fill quickly this year, so we highly encourage current families to take advantage of priority registration before spots open to the public.
