SunriseWALKS 2025 was full of heart, community, and impact. We’re thrilled to share that nearly $85,000 was raised and 150 walkers joined us at National Harbor to make it all happen!

To everyone who walked, donated, sponsored, volunteered, or cheered from afar — THANK YOU! You’ve helped us take a huge step toward giving 150 children with cancer and their siblings a magical, cost-free summer at Sunrise Day Camp - Greater Washington. Your impact will be felt all season long in every laugh, game, and friendship formed.

From the moment our camp director, counselors, and campers kicked things off the Sunrise Way — with songs, energy, and joy — the magic of came to life! We were all drawn in by Tommy McFly, our fun, engaging emcee, and welcomed our special guests from the Miss Virginia opportunities who joined us to cheer on the crowd.

None of this would have been possible without our incredible Sunrise Leadership Board, every one of you who donated and raised money, everyone who came out to show their support, and our generous sponsors, including Presenting Sponsor AvalonBay Communities and Start/Finish Line Sponsor BARE International, who both took the stage to share their support. We would also like to thank National Harbor for being a fantastic host!

Thank you for making A Taste of Israel 2025 a huge success!

Over 350 attendees came together to celebrate Israel’s 77th birthday with delicious food, hands-on activities, and live performances. From Krav Maga to Israeli dancing to crafts and more — it was a day filled with ruach (spirit) and community!

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us, volunteered, and brought the energy to make this event so special. Todah rabah (thank you)!

This Shabbat, we’re celebrating a new chapter of community connection. The Pozez JCC and Bethlehem Lutheran Church recently broke ground on a Community Garden that will supply fresh produce to Cook for Vets, a nonprofit serving local veterans facing food insecurity.

Thanks to a grant from the Amazon Northern Virginia Community Fund, this space will grow more than vegetables—it will grow connection, purpose, and shared responsibility.

We look forward to watching this garden—and the partnerships behind it—grow.
