I have been slowly working on my website, adding new Gothlings, updating descriptions while making adoptees for the upcoming Georgia Renaissance Festival opening April 11. The website has been an afterthought for a lot of years and now it seems a little overwhelming.

Enter the Orphan Asylum. Adopt handmade gothic dolls, haunted plush, and cursed companions seeking homes. Gothlings Never Too Old for Dolls.

Danse Macabre Menagerie is seeking a confident, high-energy individual to join The Orhpan Asylum in finding homes for Gothlings at The Georgia Renaissance Festival, The New York Renaissance Faire and the Louisiana Renaissance Festival

This is immersive retail. You are not waiting for customers — you are drawing them in.

Responsibilities include:
• Full booth set up and tear down
• Proactive selling and customer engagement
• Storytelling that converts browsers into buyers
• Accurate cash handling & POS operation
• Inventory awareness and restocking
• Maintaining polished booth presentation and personal aesthetic (gothic festival-appropriate)

The Work Requires:
A meticulous eye for detail in presentation, atmosphere, and handling of wares
The ability to sell with confidence, storytelling, and intention
Grace in customer interaction—inviting strangers into the Asylum and sending them away enchanted
Care for the appearance of both self and shop; you are part of the display
Availability for week hand sewing production work, crafting and preparing between festivals

Compensation:
Hourly rate + commission after sales goals are met.
We are especially interested in individuals who:
• Are comfortable initiating conversation with strangers
• Understand upselling and reading buying signals
• Enjoy hitting and exceeding sales goals

To apply:
Send a brief introduction explaining:
• Your relevant experience
• Your availability for travel
• Why you feel you would be a strong fit for this environment

Thoughtful responses will receive priority consideration.
