Learned some lessons on the big end grain cutting board, so I'm using some off cuts for a small cutting board. At just under am inch thick, I'm not sure if it'll end up warping or not. So...we're about to learn some lessons one way or another!

Decided to keep the maple end grain cutting board for myself. Good too, because the alcohol grain popping that works for face grain did NOT work for end grain. First washing popped it again. So, light sanding and now it's in an oil bath because it just kept soaking up oil! Redneck engineered a tub with aluminum foil and little rounded beads to give a space for the oil to flow into under the board and soak in. I'll flip it in a bit.

Need to look into a tub and a BUNCH of mineral oil for the next one.

Scale for size comparison. Thinking I'll end up selling it...but that's almost up in the air right now. It being my first end grain board an all. It's nearly 9 lbs by the way. 😳

Just needs feet. This is a surprisingly beefy board for its size.

$50 piece of maple, made a relatively small board. Insane. End grain boards just eat up boards.

Now...sanding...sooo much sanding.

Kind of a rushed glue up. I really need to plan these out better.
