Well everybody, I admit that my heart is a little sore that our coffee shop is leaving Fairborn. However, we had a great last hurrah last night for open mic night. Many people were not able to make it because of the rough driving conditions caused by our little winter storm, but Matt Winters (Tripson) came in and played a few songs and we had a brief reunion of Carrington and Craft. There were also several other artists. Today, we will still have Tim Corbin and Paul Frazier play one last time from 2 to 4 pm. We do still have some sweets and treats available, and a what remains of this location's coffee is bagged up for purchase. Please be aware that we are on a cash only basis today, so if you're buying coffee remember to stop at the ATM for a little cold hard cash.

Expressions has been a great little coffee shop and though a little sad, Bill and Joanne are upbeat about the future. They have always enjoyed the music, and plan to continue to spend time enjoying the music scene in our local coffee shops. Joanne says that wherever Expressions lands with the new owners, that she expect she and Bill will stop in from time to time to listen, and that the owners do plan to maintain a music venue. If so, then I plan to be a part of that as well.

To all our Music Friends: Friday and Saturday will mark the final public musical events in the Expressions Coffee House building in Fairborn. We'll have chairs and tables, and the sound equipment, and that's about it. No food or drink from the counter. Open mic is going to be from 7 till whenever, and Saturday afternoon, Paul Frazier and Tim Corbin will play music from 2 till 4. So come in and support them. The open mic will be very...open. We ask that performers stay upbeat as possible in welcoming whatever the future holds for Expressions and Fairborn. Sunday is a private event, and Bill will have the shop open for that. Cheers!

Brace yourself, Coffee Lovers. Expressions Coffee House must regretfully you that the shop has been sold, all the furnishings moved, and tomorrow will be the last and final Open Mic for Expressions at the Fairborn address.

Even though there will be NO coffee or food or anything else to sell, we will still have the Fish Stick sound system and some chairs. Food and beverages are available at nearby establishments and you're welcome to bring them into the shop if you like, though don't be surprised to find no tables.

So far Bob Farley, one of the original entertainers at Expressions, and Lynn Perdzock, who together make up the dynamic acoustic duo Raggedy Edge, have made plans to come in and send off the shop in style. Since the shop is in a bit of a turmoil today with everything being removed, sign in here with your wish to perform, a possible time (which we can't at this moment promise), and just come and enjoy the whole evening of music with once and future entertainers of ECH.

Could the shop open in a new location? Such plans have been proferred, but as of now, nothing concrete can be announced.

Come in tomorrow night and get the latest news and see the Last Open Mic Friday at the Fairborn Expressions Coffee House.

We had a great Jam Session last night. I wish you could have been here if you weren't able to make it. We'll have another session next Monday.

Good Morning Coffee Lovers!

I hope you had a great holiday weekend. Now It's Monday. *BLAH* But it's not blah... because we got things going on here. Get in here for your pick me up. Todays coffee lineup is as follows:

I recommend the chicken salad sandwich on rye bread. I am also going to be making Turkey soup at some point tomorrow I hope.

Being Monday means that the Dayton Open Jam Session meets at 7 and plays whatever with whoever until whenever. Bring your noisemakers and your friends and come play with the rest of us. Check in while you're here.

This is going to be a short update. Sorry. I don't have a coffee list for you again. Hopefully our wonderful opening barista will comment with the list. I expect that we will have Beef Vegetable soup today.

Our Evening entertainment tonight is Serendipity Band from 7 to 9:30ish they said. We're really looking forward to having them. See our event for details.

I want to remind you that we do have some great sandwiches. Come in for dinner and coffee and hear some great music while you're here.

Good Morning Coffee Lovers!

I hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving and I know that some of you are also have also just started Channukah as well, which I guess is the last time the two can happen at the same time for like... 7000 years or something. Cool.

Anyway, now that the cool part has been mentioned, let me say that we enjoyed our short vacation as well. We are definitely open today, so come in and take a break from your mad shopping. We've got great sandwiches and refreshing drinks. I believe we also have beef vegetable soup. What I do not know, is what coffees will be in the carafes. Come in and find out. If your favorite is not ready, we'll do a pour over for you. ^_^

Happy Black Friday every one. Be careful out there. It can get crazy!

Good Morning Coffee Lovers!

Coffees for today are Highlander Grogg, Snickerdoodle, La Minita Costa Rican Pumpkin Spice Decaf

Today is Tuesday, so that means Open Mic. Make sure you call in and reserve your time slot. Open Mic starts at 7 pm, and goes on until the end. I also understand that Steve will be in all afternoon doing 1 hour pencil sketches all afternoon.

I told you that we were going to have Beef and Barley soup yesterday, and while I did come in and cook a bunch of soup, it was not beef and barley. Unfortunately, I was not able to get the barley for it. I apologize for that, and I will try to make good on it another time. However, I did make a very good beef vegetable soup. I hope you will come in and enjoy it.

I also wanted to remind you that we WILL be closed on Thanksgiving, but we will definitely be open on Black Friday, so come in and warm up or cool down and have a great sandwich and soup and a cuppa. Remember you can get a cup of soup and a half a sandwich for $6. It's a great deal.

Don't forget that we have Serendipity Band playing from (according to the book) 7pm until 9:30ish. Come in and see this Acoustic- folk/rock/country/ eclectic, and all kinds of anything band. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Today is Monday. I have a very short update for you. I don't have a coffee list for you today, but I want to let you know that I'll be in the shop cooking beef and barley soup this afternoon.

Good Morning Coffee lovers!

Today is Friday. Coffees for today are Highlander Grogg, Pumpkin Spice, Ethiopian Yrgacheffe and Highlander Grogg Decaff.

We still have Very Vanilla, Aztec, and Beaten Path truffles today. The Aztec are my favorite. Chocolate with just a hint of cayenne to heat it up at the end. Yummy!

The soup of the day is Chicken Noodle. We also have Chicken and Vegetable. These soups are made with fresh ingredients and are delicious.
