Hello Members,
Does is seem like we just ended our last show? Yep, it does for me too. But time is flying by, and it's not too soon to start considering our next show in October, at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Center in Troy. Our wonderful Show Chair Carol Collett has already pulled together all the information, so we thought we'd get the info to you now. Here are the details:

2026 Members' Fall Art Show: "The Color of Water"

Troy-Hayner Cultural Center
301 W. Main St., Troy, OH 45373

Show Runs October 6 through November 22, 2026
Show Reception: Saturday, October 18 from 2pm to 4pm
(Awards ceremony at 3:00pm)

Art drop-off and registration will be on
Saturday, Oct. 3 at Troy-Hayner Center from 10am - 2pm.

So, artists, remember your "P's":
Put it on your calendar, plan to participate, and print the prospectus!

We are taking the month of August off for the newsletter, but if need be, I'll send out short notices, like this one...

This is just to remind you that if you want to be included in this year's roster, we'll need to receive your dues this week. You'll also want to get them paid up so you'll be eligible to enter work in the October Troy-Hayner Show. Shirley Harbaugh is our membership chairperson; please contact her if you have dues questions: [email protected].

In Memoriam:
Jim McCoy
We are so sorry to announce the passing of Jim McCoy - past president of WOWS. He served two terms as president and was responsible for making us tax exempt. He donated award money to our organization and many other art clubs in honor of his wife, Joan McCoy, who was a long time member of WOWS. He also established several high school and college scholarships in her name. Jim had been nominated as a Lifetime Member of WOWS just before his passing, and he will be sadly missed.
