Join our First Friday artist, Tom Walker, for a hands-on introduction to Ebru: the centuries-old art of Turkish paper marbling. Participants will learn the fundamentals of preparing the marbling bath, manipulating pigments on water, and transferring unique patterns onto paper to take home.

Join us on June 6th for a live painting demonstration with visiting artist Kulundzic Kosta, part of Beyond Boundaries, Gather’s 2026 summer exhibition.

Based in Hawai‘i, Kulundzic is a French-American artist and curator whose work blends hyperreal painting with influences drawn from mythology, religion, popular culture, and contemporary media. During this special live event, audiences will experience the intensity and immediacy of his process as he creates a complete painting in just 120 minutes.

Watch the work unfold layer by layer in real time and experience painting not just as an image, but as performance, discipline, and raw expression.

Join us for a hands-on Ebru Marbling Workshop with artist Tom Walker as part of Beyond Boundaries, our 2026 summer exhibition.

This workshop will introduce participants to traditional Turkish paper marbling alongside Walker’s contemporary, process-based approach to painting and abstraction. Drawing from bookbinding, marbling, woodworking, and painting, his work explores material, texture, and geometric form in thoughtful and unexpected ways.
